For over 15 years, Bloomer Broadband has supported local high school seniors in our service area with college scholarships. We are proud to support high school students in Tilden, Eagle Point, Bloomer, Colfax and Elk Mound who are going on to post-secondary education. This year we awarded $4,500, the most we’ve ever granted at one time. Many qualified students applied, and we personally interviewed each candidate. All the students proved to be dedicated, hardworking and caring individuals. We are excited to announce this year’s recipients:
Brooke Wittrock is pursuing Agricultural Education at University of Wisconsin – River Falls. She is the daughter of Jocelyn and Edward Wittrock.
Sierra Simpson plans to attend CVTC to study Sonography. She is the sister of Sidney Simpson and the daughter of Autumn Schultz.
Evan Rogge intends to study Civil Engineering at University of Wisconsin – River Falls. He is the son of Heather and Adam Rogge.
Amanda Fischer is attending CVTC. She will pursue a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She is the daughter of Andy Fischer.
Mitchell Medin plans to study Civil Engineering at University of Minnesota Duluth. He is the son of Stacy and Brice Medin.
Adeline Frank will begin her college coursework at CVTC and finish her degree in History Education at UWEC. She is the daughter of Sarah and Derek Frank.
Kent Klima, Bloomer Broadband’s vice president and general manager said, “We are pleased to announce that Bloomer Broadband has expanded our scholarship program to six candidates for 2023, from within the service area of Bloomer Broadband. We received applications from a fine group of young people, and after much discussion, we have chosen six recipients for this year’s scholarships.”
Congratulations and best of luck to all 2023 Bloomer, Colfax and Elk Mound, Chippewa Falls and McDonell Catholic High School graduates.
