Shop Local This Saturday
This is a busy week – Turkey Thursday, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday! Eat, relax then shop locally on Saturday. Not only will you find unique, local items and friendly, helpful shop associates, but you’ll also be helping your community. (And I bet there will be a few deals to be had as well!) Shopping locally can have a BIG impact on our small community:
- Job Creation: Small businesses are major employers and supporting them helps sustain and create local jobs.
- Money Stays Local: Money spent in the community tends to stay in the community as businesses support community and school events and patronize other businesses for goods and services.
- Community Identity: Small businesses often reflect the culture and character of their community, contributing to its unique charm.
- Breathe Easier: Shopping locally often requires less transportation and packaging, which can reduce the community’s carbon footprint – and air pollution.
